DIY Sea Salt Spray can Damage Your Hair! Though sea salt spray can create amazing “beachy” hair style, you shouldn’t apply it on your hair too often. If you ignore this simple rule you can damage your hair. So let’s see what’s gonna happen to your hair if you use sea salt spray every day.

Is Sea Salt Good for Hair? – this question usually arise when you decide to avoid commercial hair style products and use natural ingredients on hair. To be honest, I can note some contradictory aspects: sea salt brings positive results for scalp and hair roots, but from another point of view – if applied too often it can significantly change hair condition to the worst.

So, it is logical that after applying sea salt on your hair you will go outside and let your hair be exposed to sun rays. First, the water gradually evaporates under the rays of the sun and salt crystals will remain in hair. They are sufficiently large compared with the cross section of the hair. Salt crystals get stuck between the hair scales, tearing cortex. As a result you will get – split ends, brittle and dull hair. In addition, sea salt like any other salt draws out moisture. Already suffering from heat hair will be dehydrated with double force. Salt perfectly removes protein, which means “say goodbye” to keratin, so the hair will lose its elasticity. By general words, sea salt will damage hair in cases when it is applied too often.
