The reason for hair loss can be various: it can be vitamin deficiency, stress, hormonal imbalance and some diseases. Often hair loss can be provoked after birth and breastfeeding.

The good news is that there are many natural home remedies for hair loss that actually work. The article explores some of these effective recipes.

Rye Bread Hair Mask

You will need: 2 tablespoons of burdock or castor oil, 200-300 grams of rye bread.

Put bread into boiling water and let it get soaked. Mash it until you get thick paste. Add other ingredients and mix well. Apply this mask on scalp and leave it on for 1-1,5 hours. Wash your hair with shampoo.

Dandelion Hair Mask

You will need: raw dandelion leaves, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.

Grind dandelion leaves into paste. Add coconut oil and mix well. Apply on scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes. After all wash your hair with shampoo.

Onion Hair Mask

You will need: 1 onion.

Peel one onion in blender and squeeze its juice. Apply this juice on scalp and leave it for one hour. Wash your hair with shampoo. The smell is overpowering so you have to wash your hair really well after this application.

NOTE: Sulfur content in onion improves blood circulation, stimulates hair follicles and promotes hair regrowth.

Onion & Garlic Hair Mask

You will need: 1 medium onion, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 100-150 g of brandy (or cognac), 2-3 tablespoons of castor or burdock oil.

Mash garlic and onion in a blender. Add brandy and oil. Mix the ingredients well. Apply this mask on scalp and let it work for 30-40 minutes. wash your hair with shampoo.

Hair Mask with Red Hot Pepper (Chilli)

You will need: 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil, ¼ teaspoon of red hot pepper (chilli), 10-12 drops of rosemary essential oil.

Mix coconut oil with pepper and melt, stirring the resulting mixture in a water bath or simply on the stove (medium heat). Let the resulting mixture to cool to pleasantly warm scalp temperature and add the rosemary oil. Apply this mixture only on scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes. After all wash your hair with shampoo.

NOTE: Check the effect of the mask on the skin of the wrist, you should feel only a pleasant warming effect. If you feel any irritation or inflammation – never use this hair mask!

Egg Hair Mask

You will need: the white of one egg, a teaspoon of olive oil.

Beat egg white to give a paste-like consistency and apply to the entire scalp and hair. Keep it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water and a mild shampoo.

Potato Hair Mask

You will need: 1 large potato, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel.

Peel one large potato and grate it. Squeeze juice from the grated potato into a bowl and mix well so that all the honey dissolves into the solution. Apply this mask over your head and massage for a few minutes. Cover head with a shower cap and a towel. Leave on for 2 hours and then wash off with warm water.

NOTE: Potatoes are a rich source of vitamins and very few people know that it has more vitamin C than an orange. Thus, they play a very important role in treating damaged hair.

    What can be done for stressed hair. The only area affected is at the back (top of the head) – nowhere else.
