Gelatin Mask. Secret to Shiny and Strong Hair

1

Gelatin hair mask have wonderful result, which can be compared with the lamination of hair in a beauty saloon. Gelatin covers hair with a film that nourishes the hair and restores its protein structure. Hair become voluminous, looks strong and shiny.

Every girl dreams of shiny and strong hair. Thousands of hair products can promise the best result. For example, many store-bought conditioners contain silicone, which coats the hair to make it smooth and shiny. Unfortunately, this only makes the hair “look” healthy – in reality the result is quite opposite. The worst thing is that silicone blocks moisture from reaching the hair shaft, which can cause strands to become dry and brittle over time.

Hair lamination – a special procedure performed in beauty salons. Its main purpose – to make your hair smooth and straight, to make them them shine and strong. All these effects can be achieved by application a special mixture containing protein. This mixture creates thin cover on each hair, which protects the hair from external influences, nourishes and helps extend the color saturation.

The best option is gelatin, which contains keratin proteins that actually bind with hair to strengthen it. Unlike whole proteins such as egg yolk, which have difficulty bonding with hair, the partially cooked proteins found in gelatin bond easily. Gelatin adheres especially well to damaged areas, but also nourishes the entire strand as well. It helps to smooth the hair cuticle, boost shine and reduce breakage.

Why Gelatin is so Beneficial?

Gelatin – collagen protein derived from bones, cartilage and skin of animals by denaturation. So, exactly that collagen represents value for our hair. It is a kind of building material, which helps to make hair healthy and strong.

I should say that lamination with homemade gelatin mask has positive sides though the effect doesn’t last long. But anyway if you visit beauty salon for the same procedure you will pay for it much more in comparison with the same procedure at home. You just need to buy a package of gelatin and then get started for the magic!

  • Do not to rub the mask gelatin into the scalp because it can cause itching and provoke dandruff.
  • While preparing the gelatin hair solution in a water bath, make sure that the gelatin powder does not boil in water. Otherwise it will lose all its repairing properties for hair. But if it happened – then better prepare a mixture of gelatin again.
  • Try to dissolve the gelatin in mixture completely. Better not apply the mixture with lumps, because they would stick your hair and getting them out of hair becomes a huge problem.
  • If lamination effect is not visible even after a few treatments for uncertain reason, perhaps you need to consult a doctor and check possible health problems.
