There are many effective natural remedies to prevent acne and blackheads of blackheads. They are more preferable, because they have virtually no side effects unlike traditional cosmetics. Using homemade ways to get rid of blackheads, you can easily solve the problem without causing any harm to your skin.

Acne is the most awful problem a young girl can face. The painful pimples, oily skin, blackheads and huge pores can affect not only the sufferer’s nerves but also his self esteem.

However, there are some cheap and effective ways to heal or lessen the effect of acne. Homemade facial masks are a very easy way to improve your skin condition. Here you can find a small collection of natural masks especially good for acne.

Acne Facial Mask with Onion

You will need: 1 large onion, ground oatmeal or oat flour, 1-2 teaspoons of honey.

Peel onion, mash it in blender and then squeeze the juice. Mix the juice with honey and add oatmeal to achieve a condition of thick paste. Apply this mask on clean face. leave it on for 10-15 minutes.

NOTE: Onion has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and helps restore the skin and intensify its metabolic processes, whereas oatmeal helps cleanse the pores, soften and nourish the skin.

Acne Facial Mask with Baking Soda

You will need: 10-15 drops of essential tea tree oil, 1 teaspoon of grape seed oil, 1/3 teaspoon of salt, 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda.

Dissolve salt and baking soda in oil. Add other ingredients and mix well. Apply the mask with circular massaging movements from the center to the edges of the face, pay special attention to places of a congestion of black dots. Don’t rub mask into skin area with acne and inflamed zone. Keep the mask on the face for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with cool water, wipe your face with astringent tonic and use moisturizing cream.

NOTE: Baking soda helps neutralize skin’s pH, so it will start to produce less oil, and eventually, with regular treatment, acne will be gone.

Acne Facial Mask with Lemon

You will need: 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of honey, corn flour or starch.

Dissolve honey in lemon juice, mix the ingredients well. Dip cotton pads into resulting mixture and apply on skin zone with blackheads. Repeat 3-4 times, then wash you face with lukewarm water.

Facial Mask with Aspirin

You will need: 5-7 uncoated aspirin pills, distilled water, 1 teaspoon of honey.

Dissolve several pills of aspirin in water so you can get quite paste consistency. If you add 1 teaspoon of organic honey, the mask is less drying to the skin. Apply to the face, jaw, chest, back – any area that is prone to acne. Leave on for 7-15 minutes. Then wash away with lukewarm water.

NOTE: Aspirin – has anti-inflamatory properties so it will immediately reduce redness. It contains salicylic acid which is one of the most commonly used ingredients in acne products as it cleans out pores and exfoliates the skin.

Facial Mask with Yogurt

You will need: 1 green tea bag, 1 tablespoons of plain unsweetened yogurt, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.

Just barely cover green tea bag in boiling water and allow to steep. Add yogurt and lemon juice and mix ingredients well. Apply to your skin with clean fingertips or a cotton pad. Leave on for 10 minutes and then wash off.

NOTE: Green tea has soothing and antibacterial effect. It is also very cleansing for blocked pores and blackheads.

  1. I think lemon mask is the most effective for acne treatment. But using aspirin in this way – that really surprised me!
