Fresh Ginger vs. Ginger Powder

Let’s make a small comparison: for example, one teaspoon of ground ginger contains 30 percent of the daily value of manganese, whereas 4 tablespoons of fresh ginger only has 3 percent. Four tablespoons of fresh ginger root include 2 percent of the daily value for fiber, potassium, vitamin C and vitamin B-6 but one teaspoon of ground ginger already has half of that amount.

It is known that ground ginger contains the spicy substance (gingerol). Dried powder form of this root has several times more gingerol if compared. This component plays important role in protecting the skin from inflammation and infection.

One must be very careful if use ginger powder instead of plant root for cosmetic purposes because it is very potent: suggest following the rule of 1/8 teaspoon of powder substitute for every tablespoon of fresh ginger!

I like to make ginger masks very often. It feels like a really great detox for my skin. This mask helps restart your skin and leaves it feeling bright and clean. I cannot say that it is suitable for sensitive skin because it is slightly drying. But you just use a moisturizer afterwards and your skin will be fine. I used to have pimples on my chin sometimes. After several applications they disappeared! I think it is a perfect natural remedy for oily and combination skin.

This ginger face mask is amazing! I felt like I had new skin after I used it. If you add few drops of lavender essential oil, it smells wonderful! After first application I did not notice any redness or irritation or breakouts from this product. I have tried other homemade face masks but this one is my favourite one. I love that it is all natural, I use only fresh ingredients. I noticed my skin became taut and bright!

Using ginger mask made my skin soft, glowing, clean. I have amazing skin using this! It doesn’t tend to dry out my skin though I read some reviews stating it. I leave the mask on face for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with cool water. It does tingle a bit but it is a normal reaction to ginger. After washing it off my skin feels so soft and fresh like never before. It is a good substitution to all commercial face toners. The great advantage of homemade product is that it is free of chemical ingredients. I love all natural! And my skin is thankful to me!

Ginger mask clears my skin and helps unclog my pores. It is also refreshing and toning. I prepare it every weekend and use it no more than once a week. It is quite effective, especially if you suffer from acne and oily skin. Earlier I used to buy different lotions to remove oily skin but none of them could give me stable result. Ginger mask helps reduce acne appearance and make my skin glowing and taut. I’m pleased with the results!

Ginger mask really makes my skin better! But I do not recommend it for people with sensitive skin because it has a little strong effect. Usually, I apply the mask for about 15 minutes after I cleansed my face well. I use it once or twice a week and honestly I feel a difference right after rinsing it off. I have blemishes on face and ginger mask reduced this problem. Even my skin pores look so much cleaner!

I have been using homemade ginger mask once a week for a month already. I prepare creamy consistency so it is easy to apply it on clean face. I leave the mask on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with cool water. I am in my 30s, have oily skin with some noticeable pores around my nose and the occasional breakout. After few applications I feel the pores have diminished, and my skin looks healthier. I am happy with this natural face mask!

I have sensitive skin. Ginger mask doesn’t seem to irritate it nor do I notice any dry skin or redness, which some products may cause for me. I do feel that it helps to shrink large pores and reduce blackheads. I think it is a good results, especially if you don’t expect much from the natural ingredients in the mask. So far, I am able to use it once or twice a week right after cleansing the skin. My skin looks better!

  1. My skin has never looked better. I started detoxing my skin (not putting anything on it, no make-up, not even moisturizer or cleanser) and now I started my ginger experiment. Just grated ginger juice. My wrinkles are seriously disappearing, no Botox for me, my skin feels more elastic, my pores are shrinking, my skin Used to be really dry even flaky, my skin is not dry anymore, its completely balanced because the ph of ginger is 5.5 exactly the ph of our skin! I’m Loving this new lifestyle. I Will only put on makeup if I really feel like it, not because I think I have to.
