Most of the commercial anti-aging products are quite expensive and contain potentially harmful chemicals which actually can damage skin in the long-term. Instead of wasting money on these “beauty products” why not create your own natural anti-aging facial masks.

Banana & Yogurt Face Mask

You will need: 1 tablespoon of whipped egg, 1 tablespoon of mashed banana, 2 teaspoons of natural yogurt.

Mix the ingredients well. Apply the resulting mixture on clean skin (face, neck, decollete area), leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off with cool water. This mask helps tone and moisten the skin.

NOTE: Yogurt contains high amounts of Lactic Acid, proven to be successful in refining pores, exfoliating the skin and stimulating collagen production. Unlike most other exfoliants that are harsh (for example, salylic acid), it gently cleans the skin and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.

Honey & Avocado Mask with Lifting Effect

You will need: 1 egg yolk, 3 teaspoons of mashed ripe avocado, 1 teaspoon of honey, ½ teaspoon of almond oil.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Apply the resulting mixture on clean face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, make sure that the mask has dried up. Rinse your face with lukewarm water.

NOTE: Avocado oil gets easily absorbed into the skin and thus penetrates deep into it, leaving it well-cleansed, nourished and baby-soft. It also helps accelerating the new cell generation and promotes circulation in skin.

Papaya & Rice Face Mask

You will need: 1 tablespoon of mashed papaya pulp, 2 teaspoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon honey, rice flour.

Mix the ingredients well until you get a thick paste. In circular massaging movements apply this resulting mixture on clean face. leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes.

NOTE: Rice powder or flour is a widely known ingredient to treat blemishes, wrinkles and pigmentation. In fact, this ingredient has been used as an anti-aging skin treatment in many Asian countries for centuries.

Green Tea & Lemon Juice Facial Mask

You will need: 2 tablespoons of brewed green tea (cooled), ½ teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder.

Mix well all the ingredients together in a bowl. With the help of a cotton ball pat the mask all over cleansed face. Wait few minutes for it to dry out and repeat. When all the pack is finished, let it sit on your face for about 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and pat dry your face.

NOTE: Green tea acts as a potent antioxidant and natural UV protector. Packed with minerals, it nourishes skin and fights the signs of ageing also.

  1. I have very sensitive skin so I usually use honey. Before bedtime I rub my face with honey and after ten minutes enjoy soft and shiny skin!
