Acne is unpleasant problem that can spoil someone’s mood and confidence. If expensive commercial skin care products cannot help, then it is time to try homemade herbal toner with active components.

Keeping the skin beautiful and glowing is one of the most important tasks any person needs to do on a regular basis. Using some organic products and homemade beauty remedies can be one of the best ways to rejuvenate tired skin. Luckily, organic ingredients gifted by nature give much freedom to experiment with. Their healing properties help restore health and keep beauty.

Everyone of us knows that cleansing and toning is very important for skin. So, I decided to share my secret recipe with all who wish to have beautiful and fresh skin.

What is the Face Toner?

The main function of any face toner is cleansing, removal of greasy layer and dirt from the skin – especially before bedtime as at night there are still metabolic processes happening in skin layers. Also skin care toners help us to cope with problems on the face: prevention of pimples and inflammation, narrow pores and generally improve skin tone (in fact, there is no coincidence that this skin product has such name).

Don’t mix up tonic with a lotion. The lotion cleanses the skin, while the toner has another aim. It tones, refreshes, nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Usually it is used before applying the cream in the morning and after cleansing in the evening.

Instead of buying commercial toners with tones of chemicals in them, try to go all-natural like I did. An idea to use herbal toner came into my mind as a sudden flash as I realized that organic components can contribute much to the skin beauty. My goal was to fight with acne so I went through different information about herbs that can help me prevent or at least reduce appearance of acne. So, according to the list of healing properties various herbs possess I’ve chosen 3 components for my natural toner that to my mind must solve the problem of acne. Below I will talk about their properties in skin care.

Yarrow to Restore Freshness of your Skin

Yarrow – a healing herb, which can be an amazing natural remedy for clean and beautiful skin.

Natural skin care recipes often use yarrow decoction, whose beneficial effect on the skin becomes apparent after a few days of systematic application.

Yarrow has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, it soothes the skin, helps to narrow the blood vessels and remove greasy layer. It is a good treatment for acne and pimples as yarrow carries antibacterial and astringent properties. In addition, it helps stop inflammation and irritation on the skin restoring its freshness and beauty.

For oily and combination skin yarrow decoction is used as a tonic which is applied topically. The process of making decoction is very easy: 2 tablespoons of dry grass should be poured with hot water and infuse for at least 30-40 minutes. Before applying to the skin, the yarrow decoction should be filtered. Oily skin should be rubbed 2-3 times a day with decoction. Washing face with water after application is not required. With regular use, the yarrow decoction will help to reduce greasy shine of skin.

Green Tea. Rejuvenating Effect in a Short Time

Green tea – the perfect moisturizing, toning and rejuvenating natural cosmetics for skin. To have visible results it’s important that green tea should be of high quality – not cheap and without any additives and flavorings.

Usually green tea can be used in pure form to treat any skin type or mixed with various components while making face mask or lotion.

Calcium, copper, zinc, iodine, iron – not a complete list of nutrients contained in green tea leaves. Vitamins A, C and B make this drink a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals.

Anti-aging properties of green tea are manifested in the ability of tea leaves to activate the process of regeneration of skin cells that contribute to the early exfoliation of the upper layer and the development of new skin cells.

Green tea has sufficient amounts of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to protect the skin against UV rays. This is a good way to prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

Tea Tree Oil for Clean Skin

Tea tree oil – is the most valuable essential oil, used in cosmetics and medicine. It has antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties and is completely devoid of all sorts of side effects.

The composition of tea tree oil is rather complicated, it includes a variety of organic ingredients, ensuring its healing effect. This oil has an antiseptic effect. It helps to kill germs and bacteria on the skin much more effectively than alcohol. Tea tree oil also has anti-inflammatory effect eliminating skin redness and swelling.

Tea tree oil is widely used in home treatments to prevent acne and other inflammatory skin diseases. It helps prevent skin rashes, promotes accelerated healing of minor scratches and wounds, reduces acne scars.
